Research and development of construction products and materials

Eligibility of the Institute to carry out research and development is officially confirmed by a certificate issued by the Ministry of Education - Certificate. The Institute is also a member of The European Network of Building Research Institutes (ENBRI).

In the field of construction materials engineering, the Institute focuses its research and development mainly on cements and concretes. Currently, the Institute is the lead partner in the project NOVACEM aimed at exchanging experiences and searching for solutions for the development of hybrid cements based on inorganic polymers, special cements based on nano-admixtures and a new generation cement based on until now unuexploited raw material mined by cement factory Ladce in its own deposit.
