Technical assessment of construction products pursuant to CPR

The Institute, as theTechnical Assessment Body (TAB) - Member of EOTA (European Organization for Technical Assessment) performs technical assessment of construction products in all product areas in accordance with Annex IV of the CPR. The TAB issues European Technical Assessment (ETA) at the request of the manufacturer (download application form) based on a suitable European Assessment Document (EAD), issued by the EOTA, covering the manufacturer’s product. If a suitable EAD for the product is not available, the TAB initiates drafting of a new EAD, or amendment of a related existing EAD if applicable, provided the product is not covered or not fully covered by any harmonized standard, or its performance can not be fully assessed by the existing harmonized standard. The TAB applies the procedures set out in Annex II of the CPR and corresponding internal EAD procedures issued for TABs by EOTA.
