Energy certification of buildings
The energy certification of buildings is performed pursuant to the Act No. 555/2005 Coll. on Energy performance
of buildings and the Act No. 138/1992 Coll. on Authorised Architects and Authorised Civil Engineers as amended.
An energy certificate states that the building is merged into energy classes A to G, according to the calculated
evaluation of energy performance of a building that is being performed pursuant to the Ministerial Decree No. 311/2009 Coll.
It is the Institute’s division VVÚPS-NOVA that focuses on energy performance of buildings.
